Is your firm's WISP actually ready?

Tax and accounting firms are trusted with some of the most sensitive information a client can provide. IusSec helps you strengthen cybersecurity, assess WISP readiness and put governance around how your team uses AI — without replacing your IT provider.

Why this matters

A written plan is only useful if the controls behind it are real.

The IRS has repeatedly reminded tax professionals that a Written Information Security Plan (WISP) is required by law. The FTC Safeguards Rule requires covered financial institutions to maintain an information security program with administrative, technical and physical safeguards. IusSec assesses readiness and governance; applicability depends on your activities and regulatory exposure.

01

Protect taxpayer data

Identify gaps around access, MFA, devices, backups, incident readiness, vendors and handling of sensitive client information.

02

Validate WISP readiness

Determine whether the written plan, assigned responsibility, risk assessment and operational controls tell the same story.

03

Govern AI use

Discover where staff may be using ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or other tools with client data, and establish practical guardrails.
